Lumei : Border Collie/Shepherd/Terrier mix, Spayed female, 4.5 months old, 22 pounds, Submissive On the outskirt of the Jin-shan area, there are a lot of strays struggling every day to live in dire conditions. Many puppies are born here and die from starvation or being hit by a truck. Among the dogs struggling to survive was a female stray with a limping leg. The poor pup had lost her front paw to a gin trap. Soon after this, she very sadly got her hind limb caught in another trap. Noticing the pup was also pregnant, the rescuer desperately wanted to help her but the pup was too scared. To the rescuer?s great dismay, the pup ran off and disappeared. Months later, a group of small, skinny puppies tumbled out of the bush with their mommy by their side. The puppies soon became a nuisance to a nearby resident and that horrible soul one day stuffed them into a small rusty cage and left them for dead on the roadside. The heartbroken helpless mother sat by their cage crying until the rescuer arrived and scooped them all up to safety. All nine puppies were in dire shape from malnourishment. They were well vetted and nursed back to health. They have fully recovered and have been vaccinated. All of them are absolutely adorable and very sweet. Lumei is one of those rescued puppies and she?s the smartest and most beautiful puppy of the litter. Lumei was the first puppy of the litter to be adopted, however, she was recently returned due to her owner?s landlord changing his mind about allowing pets on his property. Lumei learns things quickly and has learned to potty on newspaper and in the bathroom on the toilet. She can follow commands such as shake hands, sit for treats, and let?s go for a ride in the car. She loves to be around people and is great on leash. She enjoys going anywhere and everywhere. Lumei?s foster mom says she has the temperament and personality to grow up to become a wonderful companion. For now, Lumei is enjoying life as a playful affectionate puppy. She is looking for a loving family who will love and keep her safe for life and never leave her behind.
