THIS IS A PRE-OWNED TOSHIBA HD DVD PLAYER. THE MACHINE IS IN AN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITHOUT ANY DINGS OR SCRATCHES. THIS HD PLAYER PRODUCES A SUPERB STUNNING IMAGES WITH JUST A REGULAR DVD. I HAVE OWNED FOUR OF THESE SAME BRAND TOSHIBA HD A-3 MACHINES FOR MY HOME THEATER SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM AND OTHER DVD+RW BRAND IN HOME RECORDING PROGRAMS. I USE TO WATCHED THE REGULAR DVDs WHICH I BOWLED FROM THE LOCAL LIBRARY ON THOSE SO CALLED UP CONVERT HDMI PLAYER AND I DIDN'T SEE ANY DIFFERENT IN THE HDMI UPSCALE THOSE HDMI PLAYERS AND SOMETIMES THE PICTURE COLORS GOT WORSE THAN THE REGULAR PROGRESSIVE SCAN PLAYERS WHEN I SET-UP TO xxxxI. I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THE FIRST TIME I WATCHED THE DVD MOVIE ON THIS HD MACHINE WOW! WHAT A SURPRISED. I PICKED UP THE DVD COVER AND IT JUST A REGULAR DVD DISC BUT ALL THE COLORS ARE STUNNING DEEP AND BRIGHT AND SUPER CRYSTAL CLEAR PLUS IT'S HD SOUND. FROM THAT ON I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS SAME BRAND WHENEVER THEY WERE ON SALE AND NOW, I THINK THREE ARE ENOUGH FOR ME. I HAVE OWNED MANY OTHER DVD PLAYER WITH DIFFERENT BRANDS SUCH AS MAGNAVOX -RW ,PIONEER 5DISC CHANGER ,SONY HDMI PLAYER,LG PLAYERS AND FINALLY THE SAMSUNG BLU-RAY PLAYER BD-Pxxxx. THEY WERE ALL BEHIND THIS HD A-3 PLAYER IN PLAYING AND UP CONVERTING THE REGULAR DISC AND ONLY THE SAMSUNG BLU-RAY CAME TO CLOSE BUT NOT MATCH.

The HD-A3 can output video at xxxxp, the highest resolution available, and includes support for 30-frame video, which maintains the native 24-frames-per-second rate of films, thereby delivering an experience more similar to one in theaters. Of course, the HD-A3 up-converts from other resolutions so all your standard-definition DVDs display in near-HD quality on your HD television. In addition to xxxxp, the HD-A3 also outputs at 720p and xxxxi if desired.
High-Definition Audio
Audiophiles rejoice! The A-3 has HDMI pass-through audio: The audio signal can bypass the HD DVD player's internal audio processor and feed directly into an A/V receiver. The HD-A3 can output 5.1 channel analog audio and, with HDMITM, High Bit Rate Audio (up to 7.1 channels). With a capable receiver, the lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio standards are then decoded externally and audiophiles will be rewarded with the highest fidelity surround sound possible, adding a new dimension of enjoyment to the home theater experience. The HD-A3 also supports other surround sound audio standards including Dolby Digital Plus, DTS 5.1, and DTS HD (core only).
One-Touch Convenience
